Revolutionizing financial benefits in the workplace
Carver Edison is a financial technology company committed to propelling the next generation of financial wellness by tapping into an underutilized financial benefit, called the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
To combat low participation rates and lack of knowledge around this benefit, they created Cashless Participation®. This benefit boost helps employees of all income levels finally have access to equity ownership, while providing them and their company’s with an end-to-end service of hosting enrollment, creating educational resources, and more.

MY ROLE
The brand
During my role as Senior Lead Designer, it was important that Carver Edison’s identity evolved to align with the company’s values, mission, and vision. The goal: develop a brand identity that stands out from the traditional fintech, but also conform to visual standards of a well-established, trusted company. Working collaboratively with the CEO and CCO, we established a clear understanding of the company's personality and unique attributes, which guided the evolution brand, from the color palette, to the typography, and of course the addition of hand-selected illustrations.
The end result was a cohesive and consistent brand image that communicated the company's strengths and positioned them for growth in their industry.
The products
During my time at Carver Edison, I worked on the launch of multiple product builds from conception, to design, to development. Being an extremely small team ontop of a B2B to B2E offering, we regularly found ourselves having to switch creative hats between marketing and product, constantly adjusting the creative vision for the intended user. It was a constant complex, yet fun challenge to bring thoughtful, user-friendly, and accessible designs to the finance/equity compensation space.
Some projects included:
Developed a user-friendly enrollment platform to streamline and boost enrollment rates in a financial benefits program
Created educational microsites to raise awareness to employees about various financial benefits in the workplace
Designed an admin dashboard for companies to have a birds-eye view of plan performance including insight into enrollment metrics and employee data. Other features included an onboarding experience, notification system, and account preferences.
Created an automated platform to enable companies to build, schedule, and launch equity campaigns globally with a ready-made library of employee-facing educational materials available in multiple languages (featured below).
