Born in Miami, Florida, Vinya began as a wine subscription service with the mission to make the world of wine open and inviting, while educating and helping people discover what they like.
The brand tone and mark was inspired by the energy that comes from the playful characters supports Vinyaβs mantra that life should always be celebrated. Supported by custom illustrations full of personality and a vibrant color palette that pays homage to the founderβs Cuban heritage, Vinya is a fun, bold, and playful presence that expanded into a full e-commerce experience with 2 brick and mortar locations, including a restaurant.

After 2 years, the Vinya offering expanded from wine subscription boxes to a full e-commerce wine marketplace where they curated a variety of unique wines at accessible prices. Being that the brand was loud, playful, and unapologetically bold - It was important that the website had a balance of fun elements with a focus on a clean user experience and ease of navigation to facilitate a seamless wine-buying experience.
From wireframes to prototypes, the website launched in 2021 after 3 phased releases which included the creation of a comprehensive design system to ensure a cohesive and consistent user experience across the site. I also worked with the Vinya team to create an organizational system for wine SKUs that could communicate with a filtering system to help users navigate to specific varietals, brands, regions, etc. to find the perfect wine pairing.
